TAKING CARE AND HAVING REVERENCE TO THE HOLY EUCHARIST IS BIBLICAL
by: Lawrence Luna
Question:
Where we can find in the Bible that we need to take care and have reverence to the Holy Eucharist?
Answer:
Upon carrying the vessels containing the Holy Eucharist, it must be that you are in a state of grace and carry it properly (Isa 52:11) because it contains the Holy Eucharist where the presence of Christ is there (Lk 22:18-20, 1 Cor 11:17-34, Jn 6:25-58).
It is not just only by means of carrying the sacred vessels properly that you will show your reverence, also by means of receiving the Holy Eucharist in a state of grace, meaning you did not commit mortal sin/s when you receive it (1 Cor 11:17-34).
Every time that there will be an exposition of the Holy Eucharist or having Eucharistic procession, the Catholics will kneel because it shows humility on our part and Christ’s exaltation since God give him a name which is above every name, and all must kneel and confess in the name of Jesus to the glory of God the Father (Phil 2:9-11).
These arguments or passages from the Bible reminds us that taking care and having reverence to the Holy Eucharist is really biblical at all.
