Friends, these are the following reasons why Beatification and Canonization Rites for the Saints is Biblical:

  1. The church will use its authority to investigate the lives and information of the people who are candidates for the beatification and canonization process, so that the church can make it sure that these people are worthy for it, and to check whether they lived in accordance with God’s will or not.

Mat 16:18

“And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Mat 18:18

“Amen I say to you, whatsoever you shall bind upon earth, shall be bound also in heaven; and whatsoever you shall loose upon earth, shall be loosed also in heaven.

  1. The church will have prayer petition on this matter because it is only God who knows everything

Heb 4:12-13

“For the word of God is living and effectual, and more piercing than any two edged sword; and reaching unto the division of the soul and the spirit, of the joints also and the marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature invisible in his sight: but all things are naked and open to his eyes, to whom our speech is. “

Mat 7:7-8

Ask, and it shall be given you: seek, and you shall find: knock, and it shall be opened to you. For every one that ask, receive: and he that seek, find: and to him that knock, it shall be opened.

Eph 6:18

“By all prayer and supplication praying at all times in the spirit; and in the same watching with all instance and supplication for all the saints”

    1. The church will ask God for the miracles which will served as a basis if these people are already saints in Heaven and interceding for us or not.

Heb 2:4

God also bearing them witness by signs, and wonders, and divers miracles, and distributions of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will.”

4. The church will not be mistaken in having beatification and canonization rites because God had already gave his confirmation through miracles and also on the evidences collected as well including relics and others. Remember also that the church is the pillar and ground of truth because it is guided by the Holy spirit, which comes from the father and Son.

1 Tim 3:15

“But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

Jn 14:25-26

“These things have I spoken to you, abiding with you. But the Paraclete, the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring all things to your mind, whatsoever I shall have said to you.”

5. The church just only proclaimed them, but it is God who made them saints because the moment they died, they were pleasing in the eyes of God and they became saints. Since there are countless saints already that are not yet proclaimed, that is the reason why the church set the November 1 as the All Saint’s Day in remembering them.

Rev 5:8

“And when he had opened the book, the four living creatures, and the four and twenty ancients fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints:”

Rev 6:9-10

“And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held. And they cried with a loud voice, saying: How long, O Lord (holy and true) dost thou not judge and revenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?”

Rev 7:12-15

“Saying: Amen. Benediction, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, honor, and power, and strength to our God for ever and ever. Amen. And one of the ancients answered, and said to me: These that are clothed in white robes, who are they? and whence came they? And I said to him: My Lord, thou know. And he said to me: These are they who are come out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and have made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore they are before the throne of God, and they serve him day and night in his temple: and he, that sit on the throne, shall dwell over them.
