First of all, “lucifer” is NOT a proper name. It is a LATIN word for “morning star” or “day star”. It is NOT the name of the devil.

A very typical example of this is found in 2Peter 1:19 of Latin Vulgate. The verse reads:

et habemus firmiorem propheticum sermonem cui bene facitis adtendentes quasi lucernae lucenti in caliginoso loco donec dies inlucescat et #lucifer oriatur in cordibus vestris(2Peter 1:19, LATIN VULGATE, emphasis mine)

As I’ve said, “lucifer” is a LATIN word for “morning star” or “day star”. It’s NOT a proper name.
