Angel, Tenny’s supporters expelled
Members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo who supported Felix Nathaniel “Angel” Manalo and Cristina “Tenny” Manalo, brother and mother, of Executive Minister Eduardo Manalo, have been expelled from the church.
One of those expelled said yesterday that the INC leadership led by Ka Erdy decided to expel them for defying an order not to show support to Angel, Tenny, and other ex-ministers who claimed corruption within the church.
“I was expelled po last night dahil ayoko umamin na kilala ko iyung blogger (Ebangelista). Hindi ko naman kilala iyung tao. Pinipilit nila ako,” the expelled INC member said.
“Pinagalitan din po ako bakit nagsama pa ako ng ibang tao noong kinausap ako ng district minister. Siya may guard ako wala? It is immature po.”
She said that she will go back to work. “Back to usual, concentrate sa work. I also don’t know if I can study in New Era. My friends told me I won’t be safe there anymore.”
She said that they won’t get anything from the church. “I don’t get anything naman from them. Only ministers and central office workers get “help” from the offers of the members.”
They will not be accepted or allowed to worship inside churches and talk to other INC members.
“All these they need to do dahil nasa Bible daw namin kasi iyun. Even my parents were removed from their duties,” she said.
“That’s why takot sumuporta ang members kay Ka Angel kasi these are the consequences lalo na kung kinabubuhay mo eh nakadepende po sa tulong galing sa offers ng members,” the ex-INC member said.
All they can do now, she said, is pray that Ka Erdy will talk to his younger brother. (Francis T. Wakefield)
