Sis. Virginia Vecina DepEd Supervisor of Sarangani Province first from left was an active Baptist member and was a President of Womens Baptist Association of the province of south Cotabato born From a Baptist parent but was converted to the Roman Catholic Church. I ask her to attend the walking with Jesus Seminar a catholic renewal seminar of The OASIS of Love Community Cebu lead by Tatay Dodong and the Elders of the Community last June 5-7, 2014. Sis. Verginia was baptised to tbe Catholic Chuch And became active member of the Catholic Church and daily communicant of the Eucharist.
The starting point of her Journey to the Catholic Church happened 4 yrs ago. Her grandson after high school converted to the Catholic Church and was baptised and felt attracted in the priesthood. He enrolled at the Catholic Seminary in Marvel Diocese. It was a great pain in the family who are faithful to baptist tradition and beliefs. Here comes sis Jo De Padua her friend, a Divine Mercy coordinator in Gensan who introduce me to be her spiritual adviser because I was a Pastor before. Sis Verginia Vecina agree and I guide them and give them advises. I explained to her why her grandson attractive to the Catholic Church like me and as a result she agreed to atend the walking with Jesus Seminar Cebu conducted by the OASIS community and decided to become like her grandson converted to the Roman Catholic Church.
