QUESTION: WHY DO ANTI-CATHOLIC PASTORS AND MINISTERS TRY TO FAULT CATHOLIC PRIESTS WITH THEIR ALLEGED SCANDALS?
ANSWER: You will not be surprised because the first one who did this was Satan, the father of pastors who spread lies (John 8:44)
Just like the Apostle Paul, the key that is supposed to open the truth was not given to them. If it was given to them by God, they would follow Christ who did not marry(Revelation 14:4) which was followed by the Apostle Paul (1 Corinthians 7:7-8) who is the model of Catholic Priests.
Moses was a priest of God and Satan was trying to embarrass him but this did not work.
“Moses and Aaron were among his priests; Samuel also called on his name. They cried to the LORD for help, and he answered them.” Psalms 99:6
“But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not himself dare to condemn him for slander but said, “The Lord rebuke you!” Jude 9
Joshua was a priest of God and Satan was so mad at him but the plan of satan against him did not work
“Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan[a] standing at his right side to accuse him. 2 The Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you! Is not this man a burning stick snatched from the fire?” Zechariah 3;1
Satan was also always against the Apostle Paul who was a priest of God and tried to block his work but this did not work since God was with Paul.
“For we wanted to come to you—certainly I, Paul, did, again and again—but Satan blocked our way” .1 Thessalonians 2:18
Thus even today, people who follow Satan or are being used by Satan are doing everything just to make sure that they find problems with Priests.
God gave special gifts to His priests that can not be given to others. The Truth of the faith has been given primarily to the leaders of the Church (Ephesians 3:5), who, with Christ, form the foundation of the Church (Ephesians 2:20). The Church has been guided by the Holy Spirit, who protects this teaching from corruption (John 14:25-26, 16:13).
Priests are ordained for their own sake (to help them save their own souls by doing God’s will) and for all the faithful (who must be directed to God through teaching, governance and sanctification).
Priests offer gifts and sacrifice to God for the people (cf. Hebrews 5). Priests, set apart by ordination, concern themselves mainly with that which is sacred. Priests form and inform, nourish and strengthen, heal and guide lay people for their indispensable work. What the priest does is done is for service. A priest is not less in need of a Savior than anyone else present.
St. Augustine of Hippo (AD 430), speaking of his role as bishop of Hippo, described his relationship with his flock in the best way when he said, “I am a bishop for you, but a Christian with you”
“Therefore tell him I am making my covenant of peace with him. 13 He and his descendants will have a covenant of a lasting priesthood, because he was zealous for the honor of his God and made atonement for the Israelites.” Numbers 25:12-13
Unfortunately, for the Non-Catholic Pastors and Ministers who criticize Catholic priests, Money is their god, and the wealthy and welfare are its prophets. Their sacrifice is hard earned savings on their followers taking obscene profits by defrauding followers over honest work. Their churches are registered with the Securities and Exchange Commissions. Their covenant promises self reliance and security in wealth or sustenance. God did not choose them!
