Refuting The Distorted Interpretation of The Iglesia ni Cristo
Debunking the” Trying Hard Scholar” of Iglesia ni Cristo of Felix Manalo
Let us dispel what the pretender Aerial said in his blog http://torch-of-salvation.blogspot.com
If we translate into English what Aerial said, he is saying that Syriac Peshitta Aramaic is the native language of Jesus.
Does Aerial know what he is talking about?
Who taught you this one? Was it Jose Ventilacion or Ramil Parba who taught this to all Iglesia ni Cristo members who engage in debates?
Syriac Peshitta only became widespread a few hundred years AFTER Jesus’ death. Syriac is quite different from the Aramaic Jesus spoke. It’s from a different branch (Syriac is Eastern where Jesus spoke Western) and a few thousand years change things over time. However, they are inexorably related. What Jesus spoke (early Galilean Aramaic) was from a different era, geographical location, and dialect family.
Syriac as found in the Peshitta (Classical Syriac) isn’t the Syriac that was spoken during during Jesus’ lifetime.
Old Syriac was the contemporary dialect, and there were a number of differences (vocabulary-wise, grammar-wise, etc.) that makes it distinct from Classical Syriac.
Syriac had a different vowel inventory and rules than Galilean. (Galileans were not as “careful” in their speech as Eastern Aramaic speakers were.)
You need to rectify your information since there are many innocent Iglesia ni Cristo members who believe in your lies.
