Jesus the All-Knowing God
Soriano claims that God is NOT ALL-KNOWING OR OMNISCIENT. How did he knows the limit of God’s knowledge is he the omniscient one?
SORIANO preaches that God is not omniscient or all knowing. He argues that there are things that God does not know because of free will. Is his reasoning correct?
Here is Soriano’s proof text;
Jeremiah 7:30-31 NASB
[30] “For the sons of Judah have done that which is evil in My sight,” declares the Lord, “they have set their detestable things in the house which is called by My name, to defile it. [31] “They have built the high places of Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, which I did not command, and it did not come into MY MIND.”

My reply;
Try to understand the context.
Soriano interprets the phrase,” IT did NOT COME TO MY MIND” to mean ” I DON’T KNOW” which is erroneous.
Eli FAILED to grasped what is the CONTEXT of the verse. Before you ask your question, first you need to understand WHAT IS GOING ON in the text.
First , there were those who used their daughters and sons as burnt sacrifices. Which IS EVIL.
Second, God’s statement;
” I have never commanded such a horrible deed; IT NEVER EVEN CROSSED MY MIND TO COMMAND such thing!”
God desires NO MORALLY EVIL as He is also ALL HOLY. He cannot plan to do WHAT IS WRONG. This is why He DECLARED” It never even crossed my mind ” hence , how could He even command it? WHAT God DENIES it as He commanded NO EVIL, NOT that He does not know what evil they wanted to do.
Soriano’s understanding is ABSOLUTELY WRONG. Why? You may ask. For God KNOWS everything even before we were born He knows our decisions and actions. Yes , before we even make use of our freewill.

GOD is not a creature like an audience in front of a screen waiting for the next episode. Will the man kill his opponent or not? Will that thief be caught or not? Will that person choose good or bad?. The Bible says quite the opposite He knows all your choices, He knows the consequences of all your choices beforehand, He knows who will be saved, He knows what will happen in the future, He knows everything. He is outside time. There is not such thing in GOD as past or future since God is infinite and if you are an infinite being you have no past, present, or future.
St. John said God knows everything.
1 John 3:20
For whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and HE KNOWS EVERYTHING.
Prophet David said God knew his thoughts beforehand. God knew what David will say beforehand. In short, God knew the future of David. He knows all.
Psalm 139:1-6
A Psalm of David. “O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; YOU DISCERN MY THOUGHTS FROM AFAR. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. EVEN BEFORE A WORD IS ON MY TONGUE, behold, O Lord, YOU KNOW IT ALTOGETHER. You me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me.
Is THERE ANY EXAMPLES we can read from the Bible that demonstrate wherein God knows THINGS YOU WILL DO EVEN BEFORE YOU MAKE your decisions? That He knows what WILL TAKE PLACE, your decisions after, the consequence of that decision and still tell what will happen next to a person? YES!!!

[31] And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: [32] But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and WHEN THOU ART CONVERTED, strengthen thy brethren. [34] And HE SAID, I TELL THEE, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that THOU SHALT THRICE deny that thou knowest me.”
My comment:
In here Jesus ALREADY KNEW WHAT IS ABOUT TO COME in detail. What did Jesus said?
1.Jesus tells us that Peter will be converted (after denails)
2. Peter’s denials (3x)
3. He said the time when this just happened ( cock crowing)
This is not a case of what are possibilities that would arise BUT GIVING DETAILS.
God already know WHAT OUR DECISIONS EVEN BEFORE WE ARE THERE IN TIME. Before we NEED TO MAKE DECISIONS. St.Peter denied Jesus 3x and Jesus already knew WHAT DECISIONS he would make. Moreover, he already knew that St. Peter will be CONVERTED BACK to strengthen the other apostles.
In connection with this St. PROCLAIMED THAT through that experience he said this:
John 21:17 KJV
[17] He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou KNOWEST ALL THINGS that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
Jesus POSITIVELY AFFIRMED that he is indeed OMNISCIENT by telling him more about how St. Peter will die.

See that Jesus CONFIRMED WHAT ST. Peter just said THAT HE KNOWS ALL THINGS by further TELLING HIM WHAT WILL HAPPEN and how St. Peter would die.
