Statement:
During the study of God’s words, Brother Eduaurdo Manalo preached about the Church’s glorious state. While other religions sell off their properties and lose followers, officers, and strength, the Church of Christ in these last days is becoming stronger, bigger, and more triumphant with God’s help.
Response:
Actually, it does not matter really matter if the church is big, rich, many or few members, selling properties, etc., rather what matters here is all about the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ and the true church. These are the reasons why we need to carefully search the true teachings and the true church through Bible and Tradition (Isa 34:16, 2 Pet 1:20-21, 2 Thes 2:15, 2 Tim 3:15-16) because there are so many false preachers and false churches that are using Christ’s name and will mislead many people (Mat 24:3-14, 1 Jn 2:18-29, Jude 1:3-16).
Even though no matter how your church is rich, big, etc. and having the desire and deed to serve God, but if that is a false church and you are serving God not compatible with his ways, then your efforts will be wasted because God wants us to worship and serve him in accordance with his ways, not by human standards (Mat 15:1-9).
So, it means that what really matters here is that we must serve God in his ways and we can find that only in the church which was established by Christ himself and that is the CATHOLIC CHURCH, no other (Mat 16:18, Mar 11, Acts 23:11, Rom 1:7, Eph 2:20, Jn 17, Acts 9:31).
Although money and other properties are important also to sustain and expand the church, but then again we have to make it sure that the church we join must be the exact church that Christ established, not being founded by man just like Felix Manalo, founder of the INC ( Encyclopedia of the Philippines, Vol.20 by Zoilo Galang, Philippine Security Exchange Commision) and as well to examine the teachings of the church.
