So what elese was buried? His divinity was also buried? His Person was also buried? Lol! It was only his body was buried! That is the truth of our faith. The cath of Trent is only saying that when the body was buried, the divinity remained united to it not that the divinity was also buried! So only the body died, but by saying this we don’t mean that Christ is only man.
Poor Sam I can’t believe thay they have denied the Catechism of the Council of Trent, and they insist that only the body was interred. And they look more infallible than the Magisterium.
It is not, however, our belief that THE BODY OF CHRIST was interred. Theabove words propose, as the principal object of our belief, that God was buried; as according to the rule of Catholic faith we also say with THE STRICTEST TRUTH THAT GOD DIED, and that God was born of a virgin. FOR AS THE DIVINITY WAS NEVER SEPARATED FROM HIS BODY which was laid in the sepulchre, we truly confess that God was buried.

THE DEATH OF GOD ON THE CROSS CANNOT BE OF HUMAN NATURE ALONE OR THE BODY ALONE BECAUSE ON THE CROSS JESUS WAS A PERSON. HE WAS A DIVINE PERSON WHO FORGIVES, GRANT SALVATION AND OFFERED REDEMPTION. THE BODY OF THE LORD IS THE BODY OF GOD. HIS STAY IN THE TOMB IS PART OF THE MYSTERY OF HOLY SATURDAY AND THE CHURCH LITURGY CALLS HIS STAY IN THE TOMB AS “THE SABBATH OF GOD” OR “THE DIVINE REST OF THE LORD”:
CCC#624 “… The state of the dead Christ is the mystery of the tomb and the descent into hell. It is the mystery of Holy Saturday, when Christ, lying in the tomb,461 reveals GOD’S GREAT SABBTH REST462 after the fulfillment463 of man’s salvation, which brings peace to the whole universe.”
