Jesus Christ was the Lord being mentioned in the book of Numbers who was tempted by the Israelites. Jesus Christ was the Lord who who sent fiery serpents among the Israelites.
Numbers 21:1-6King James Version (KJV)21 And when king Arad the Canaanite, which dwelt in the south, heard tell that Israel came by the way of the spies; then he fought against Israel, and took some of them prisoners.2 And Israel vowed a vow unto the Lord, and said, If thou wilt indeed deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities.3 And the Lord hearkened to the voice of Israel, and delivered up the Canaanites; and they utterly destroyed them and their cities: and he called the name of the place Hormah.4 And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way.5 And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.6 And the Lord sent fiery SERPENTS among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
1 Corinthians 10:9King James Version (KJV)9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of SERPENTS.
Isaiah speaks about preparing the way for the LORD (Yahweh). When we compare this verse with Mark we see that Jesus is the LORD who had the way prepared for him by John the Baptist.
Isaiah 40:3King James Version (KJV)3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.
Mark 1:3King James Version (KJV)3 The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
In Isaiah we read about the marvelous vision that Isaiah had revealing the glory of the LORD (Yahweh). John tells us that this vision revealed the glory of Jesus.
Isaiah 6:1-10King James Version (KJV)6 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.9 And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.
John 12:40-41King James Version (KJV)40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.41 These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.
In Zechariah the LORD (Yahweh) is speaking and says that, “they will look on Me whom they have pierced.”This is obviously Jesus speaking. This passage from Zechariah appears again in Revelation and is clearly about Jesus Christ.
Zechariah 12:10King James Version (KJV)10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.
Psalm 22:1King James Version (KJV)22 My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?
John 19:34King James Version (KJV)34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.
Revelation 1:7King James Version (KJV)7 Behold, he cometh with butts; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
