Angel Manalo asks INC to tear down wall built around his home
Expelled Iglesia Ni Cristo-Minister Ka Angel Manalo on Tuesday called on his brother, INC Executive Minister Eduardo Manalo, to remove the fence that was built around his and their sister Lottie Manalo-Hemedez’s home at the INC compound in Quezon City.
“Nananawagan kami sa kapatid na Eduardo Manalo na sana man lang makonsidera niya itong mga nangyayari ngayon. Na kung maaari sana alisin na niya itong mga bakod. Magkasundo na tayo,” said Ka Angel during Tuesday’s broadcast of GMA 7 news program “Saksi”.
Though news organizations were prevented from entering the INC compound to see the fence, Ka Angel’s camp did provide a video showing workers building the barrier of steel pipes and iron sheets around Angel’s home.
“Pinaguusapan pa kasi na bakuran, binakuran na agad,” claimed Angel.
Meanwhile, INC authorities said that they had built the wall to make sure that the property inside the compound was safe and in good condition, given that they had received reports of unidentified armed-men having easy access to the compound.
The INC and siblings Angel and Lottie are in court contesting the ownership of the property inside the INC compound.
The INC claimed that it owned the property based on a deed of sale. However, according to Lottie’s lawyer Atty. Trixie Angeles, Lottie’s husband had been dead three years when he supposedly signed the deed of sale. — DVM, GMA News
