Statement:
In John 10:30, we read that the Father and Son are one. It means that Christ proclaimed that he is the Father and Son at the same time.
That kind of teaching is false because if Christ is the Father and Son at the same time, no reason for him to pray and ask the Father for he is also the Father. However that was not the case because Christ prayed to the Father (Jn 17:1-26) and it was the Father who directly proclaimed that Christ is his beloved Son (Mat 3:17). This means that Christ is not the Father, rather he is the Son.
The truth is that John 10:30 refers to the divinity and authority of Christ because like his Father, he is also a God (Heb 1:8-13). However, Christ is also a man because he got his flesh (Phil 2:6-11) through the Blessed Virgin Mary (Lk 1:26-38). In short that Jesus Christ is True God and True Man. Also, Christ said that what the Father does, the Son also does (Jn 5:19).
Therefore, the Father and Son are different persons but essentially ONE GOD IN THREE PERSONS OR KNOWN AS THE HOLY TRINITY.
