RESPONSE TO AN INC NAMED ARIUS ON FELIX MANALO AS A FAKE MESSENGER By Winnie Ibe

Arius’ answer to Mr. Winnie Ibe on “The claim of Manalo, Soriano, Joseph Smith, Muhammad, and Qiuboloy as ‘sugo, last messenger’ is fraud.”

Arius introductory statement:

This article is written to answer Mr. Winnie Ibe on his allegation that Brother Felix Manalo’s being a messenger of God is a fraud. However, Im not speaking here also for Soriano, Joseph Smith, Muhammad, and Qiuboloy but for Bro Felix Manalo only.”

My RESPONSE:

Putting these men altogether and their claims make it easier to recognise that they are in fact have the same common denominator- they are all aiming to destroy the Catholic Church. Some of them call themselves ,” sugo”, “pantas” “Son of God”, “last messenger”, and “prophet”. They all tried to use Bible verses for their claim BUT NONE OF THEM are PART OF THE CHURCH founded by Christ. What they did was to oppose the Church by establishing their very own, then CLAIM that it’s of God or by Christ. Bottom line is, they are all fraudsters.

Arius’ RESPONSE:

The basis of Mr. Ibe that our Lord Jesus Christ is the last messenger, thus Bro. Felix Manalo could not be a messenger, is only a fruit of his erroneous understanding of the bible.

Mr. Ibe wrote:

Our Lord Jesus Christ is the Final or last messenger of God according to the Bible.

Let me quote;
Matthew 21:34-39 NKJV
[34] Now when vintage-time drew near, he sent his servants to the vinedressers, that they might receive its fruit. [35] And the vinedressers took his servants, beat one, killed one, and stoned another. [36] Again he sent other servants, more than the first, and they did likewise to them. [37] Then LAST OF ALL HE SENT HIS SON to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ [38] But when the vinedressers saw the son, they said among themselves, ‘This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.’ [39] So they took him and cast him out of the vineyard and killed him.”

We know that Jesus was referring to the prophets of God were sent to his people before him yet they were by killed them. Christ ALSO KNEW THAT HE is THE FINAL or LAST MESSENGER as he clearly said,” then LAST OF ALL” referring to HIMSELF.

Arius’ counter argument:

Our lord Jesus Christ is not the last messenger. More so the the verses Winnie Ibe quoted above do not teach that Christ is the last messenger.

33″Hear another PARABLE: There was a certain landowner who planted a vineyard and set a hedge around it, dug a winepress in it and built a tower. It is suspicious that Mr. Winnie started quoting in verse 34 wherein he should have started at verse 33 which is the start of the discussion he quoted. He started in verse 34 because he avoided the verse 33 where in it is mentioned that the discussion he mentioned is only a PARABLE of Christ. He wants to show that what he quoted is a real happening in the time of our Lord Jesus Christ to make his claim valid that our Lord Jesus Christ is the last messenger.”

MY RESPONSE TO ARIUS:

Sorry Arius but your suspicion is baseless. The verses I cited is a parable from Christ and about him, the Jews and his nation. The verse clearly tells us that Jesus is the last messenger. Being a parable does not negate the message Jesus expressed. Moreover, there is no intent of hiding that is a parable.

As what I have said, the verses do not teach that Christ will be the last messenger or the last one to be sent by God. Apostle Paul was also sent and commissioned by God.

MY RESPONSE TO ARIUS:

Christ came WITH HIS MESSAGE, in fact he is the GOSPEL and or the MESSAGE OF GOD HIMSELF. The love of God and salvation for all men is now being proclaim by him THROUGH the Church, NOT BY ANY OTHER MEANS. Furthermore, The INC, like Arius misuses Acts 13:47 to prove their point that St. Paul is a messenger. It’s grossly twisted as they present this text as if it’s exclusively for St. Paul. Noticed “The Lord commanded US”. The word “us” is understood and presented by the INC to mean “I” for St. Paul.

How did St. Paul, the apostles and the rest of the Christians be light of the world? It is THROUGH CHRIST and in him and WITH HIM.

St. Paul and all the apostles became part of the body of Christ and with that in mind, they too become LIGHTS of the world. Here are the texts that help us understand it.

Christ is the LIGHT of the Gentiles and NOT PAUL himself. Jesus was the one who opens blind eyes and more importantly ESTABLISHED THE NEW COVENANT.

[6] “I am the Lord, I have called You in righteousness, I will also hold You by the hand and watch over You, And I will appoint You as a COVENANT to the people, As LIGHT TO THE NATIONS , [7] To OPEN BLIND EYES. In the New Testament confirms

Luke 2:31-32 NASB
[31] Which You have prepared in the presence of all peoples, [32] A Light of l revelation to the Gentiles, And the glory of Your people Israel.”

Ephesians 5:7-8 NASB
[7] Therefore do not be partakers with them; [8] for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light”

Hebrews 8:6-7 KJV
[6] But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better COVENANT which was established upon better promises. [7] For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.”

We can CONCLUDE THAT we too become lights BECAUSE of Jesus as we are part of his body. The Church which is ONE with Church is set on a hill to give light to the world.

Thus, if Mr. Winnie means that our Lord Jesus Christ is the last messenger in the ordinal sense, then he is wrong for apostle Paul is also testified by the bible as a messenger of God to preach his message of salvation to the gentiles.”

INCs fail to understand that when Jesus came to the world, He gave us his message and the fullness of the faith is RECEIVED by the Church/saints once and complete.

My statement:

Why we are so certain that Jesus Christ is the FINAL or Last messenger ? BECAUSE Jesus declared it so. Why it made sense that Christ is the last messenger? Lets find more about this truth.

Lets read;
Hebrews 7:15-16 CEV
[15] All of this becomes clearer, when someone who is like Melchizedek is appointed to be a priest. [16] That person wasn’t appointed because of his ancestors, but BECAUSE HIS LIFE CAN NEVER END. “

If Christ lives forever and his body/church exists to carry out his very mission on earth then there is NO NEED TO SEND a new messenger (like Felix Manalo). The Gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ was already GIVEN ONCE and For ALL. This means that there IS NO MORE NEW MESSAGE and NO OTHER NEW COVENANT, hence a NEW messenger or another last messenger is not needed. Manalo need not too apply as there is “NO VACANCY”.

Arius’ RESPONSE:

The statement of Mr. Ibe here of “NO VACANCY” applies to the pope and priests of the catholic Church and not to our beloved brother Felix Manalo. A catholic priest named Juan Trinidad S.J. say these things in his book entitled Ang Iglesia ni Kristo at iba’t ibang sektang Protestante p. 26:

“At ang Santo Papa (Ama) ang pinakamataas na ama ng ating kaluluwa ditto sa lupa, dahil sa siya ang KAHALILI nang ating Panginoon…”

MY RESPONSE TO ARIUS:

Indeed the popes are VICARS of Christ BUT NOT a REPLACEMENT of him. St. Peter was entrusted to him the flock of Christ.

Christ said:

John 21:16 KJV
[16] He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.”

The pope works for or in behalf of Christ, and not as INC deceptively claim.

Arius CONTINUED:

NO VACANCY. The pope cannot replace our lord Jesus Christ because as what Mr. Ibe quoted “BECAUSE HIS LIFE CAN NEVER END.” Christ life can never end, thus he cannot be replaced by the popes of the Catholic church.”

My REPLY TO ARIUS:

Verily, Christ is alive and CANNOT BE REPLACED by Felix Manalo nor anyone. Christ being the messenger of God extended to the Church which he sent to all nations until the end of time (Matthew 28:19-20). Christ being the head of this BODY/Church. Thus, the apostles and the priests are messengers IN CHRIST, THROUGH CHRIST AND WITH CHRIST. Hence they are ONE WITH CHRIST, cannot be separated from “messegership” of Christ. They receive no new MESSAGE of their own from the Father. They proclaim Christ and his gospel of salvation echoing Christ words to the world. Therefore, as Christ being the head is irreplaceable and so is his BODY/Church.

Arius said:

One more thing, Brother Felix Manalo did not teach a NEW MESSAGE and OTHER NEW COVENANANT.”

My RESPONSE:

Manalo indeed taught A NEW CHURCH, A NEW SHEPHERD, NEW FINAL MESSENGER. No single Christians ever believed that the Church will be apostatised and would be replaced by A NEW BODY .

Where can we find such belief? Which apostles proclaim such doctrines? Verse please.

It is the priests of the Catholic church who taught a new message or doctrine. Why? Because they are not messengers of God. if they are messengers of God, then they should have the teachings of God because the ones who preach the true gospel or message of God are the messengers of God.”

My RESPONSE TO ARIUS:

It’s NOT you or Manalo nor the church founded by him which has the authority to teach with authority defining which is true doctrines. It’s the Catholic Church. The same very church WHICH defines WHICH BOOKS belong to the New Testament Bible. INC had no say about the Canon of the NT.

This verse applies to Manalo perfectly.

2 Peter 3:16 NCV
[16] He writes about this in all his letters. Some things in Paul’s letters are hard to understand, and people who are IGNORANT and WEAK in faith explain these things falsely. They also FALSELY explain the OTHER SCRIPTURES, but they are destroying themselves by doing this.”

15And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!”

Hence Mr. Ibe is wrong in saying that messengers are no longer needed. He is definitely wrong. Messengers are very important for they are the true teachers of the message of God.
If for Mr. Ibe Christ is already the LAST messenger, thus it is implied that his priests now are not messengers of God. No wonder they teach a different message or doctrine.”

MY RESPONSE to ARIUS:

It appears that Arius failed to understand that Christ being THE FINAL messenger is UNIQUE which other religions like Islam appropriates to Muhammed and now the late Felix Manalo. INC profess as part of their core faith that Felix Manalo is the ” last messenger”. However, the fact that they too hold that their ministers are also “sent” hence are messengers would DESTROY their very doctrine concerning the above
claim. Concerning priests being ” messengers; of course they are as I explained above. They are NOT separate from Christ but for Christ, with Christ and through him and in him.

Felix Manalo could not be the ” last messenger” of God as the MESSAGE was already given by Christ which the Catholic Church received authority to preach to all nations till Christ return. INC like Arius just confirmed that Manalo did not as HE RECEIVED any NEW MESSAGE/S. Why would anyone send a messenger BUT WITHOUT ANY MESSAGE/S? That is simply absurd.

Christ Being the last messenger spreads the gospel to all nations through the Church WHICH IS HIS BODY. Since the Church which is also likened to a wife and Christ to a husband (who nourishes and cherish )was promised to remain forever. Again, Manalo’s or Soriano, Joseph Smith, Muhammad, or Quinoloy supposed job is NOT REQUIRED as there is NO VACANCY!!!

The verse Mr. Ibe quoted (Luke 10:16) is parallel with John 13:20

John 13:20 NKJV
20Most assuredly, I say to you, he who receives whomever I send receives Me; and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.”

The ones sent by God being referred to the verse are the messengers of God.

Thus, when people receive the messengers, they also receive our Lord Jesus Christ and the Father in heaven.

On the other hand, those who reject the messengers of God, like Mr. Ibe, reject our Lord Jesus Christ and the Father in heaven. Mr. Ibe rejects Brother Felix Manalo, a messenger of God, thus he rejects our lord Jesus Christ and the Father in heaven.”

My RESPONSE TO ARIUS:

To REJECT A FALSE prophet or a messenger of the Devil is not rejection of God. He who speak evil against the bride of Christ is from Satan. Manalo did not only taught contrary to the teachings of the pillar and foundation of truth but taught that the BRIDE OF CHRIST BECAME WHORE OR PROSTITUTE. He then created one and presented it as ” the bride of Christ”. This idea could ONLY CAME FROM the trickery of Satan.

True Messenger does not have “another message” as what Mr. Ibe claims. In contrary, True Messenger brings the message or teaching of the one sent him.

My REPLY TO ARIUS:

Then TELL US WHAT ARE THE MESSAGES of the ONE who SENT him? Your statement above is ILLOGICAL. Of course a messenger carries with him ” message/s” and CANNOT BE WITHOUT.

Arius quoted biblical verses and his arguments:

16So Jesus answered them and said, “My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me.

34For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure.

I believe Mr. Ibe would not argue with me that our Lord Jesus Christ is a true messenger of God. True messenger, like our lord Jesus Christ, brings the message, teaching or words of the one who sent him – Our almighty God. “

My REPLY TO ARIUS:

Those verses are correct but gives no support for your arguments. Sorry my friend I am not asking if he preached his own message, but WHAT MESSAGES HE RECEIVED FROM GOD that he preached. From your very OWN STATEMENT Manalo had none. In reality however is quite the contrary.

Proof? Manalo taught that he is THE SHEPHERD in John 10:16. While the text does not say the there WILL BE ANOTHER OR NEW SHEPHERD, Manalo twisted that very to usurp Christ’s.

It’s Christ who has other sheep, he is the one who brings them, it’s his voice they hear, then for Manalo to claim that he is the ” ONE SHEPHERD” is absurd. Jesus shepherds these two groups and will bring them together to be one. Christ then will have ONE FLOCK him being that Shepherd. Manalo? Well, he is ONE OF THE WOLVES that attacked the FLOCK of Christ.

If a messenger has a different message than of the one who sent him, then he is not functioning as the messenger of the one who sent him. Thus he is not really a messenger at all.

The inspired writer of Hebrews presented the idea of time when God sent messengers to the fathers and prophets. He then specified Christ who speak to us in “these last days.” Implying that we are COVERED in a period of time which is ” the last days”.

ARIUS RESPONSE:

Regarding the term “last days” in Hebrews 1:1-2, this term “last days” is last in regard with the point of reference by the writer. In this case, the point of reference by the writer of Hebrews is the time of the Patriarch and the time of the prophet. It is a common knowledge that in the bible the period of time is divided in to three great dispensations of time namely the time of the PATRIACH, the time of the PROPHETS and the time of our lord Jesus Christ which is also called as CHRISTIAN ERA. Thus, the last days here is pertaining to the CHRISTIAN ERA which is LAST of the 3 biblical dispensations of time.”

Arius tries to wiggle yet has not much room to do so. Yes, from the time of Christ until his coming again can be called ” Christian Era”. What INC professes is that from the time 1914 is a ” NEW ERA” or ” last days of the world as Arius argues below.

The last days of the world is also the time when the end of the world is already near. Our lord Jesus Christ gave identifying marks if the end of the world is already near. These signs were fulfilled in our time. The war prophesied in verse 6 was the 1st world war which broke out in July 1914.”

My RESPONSE:

Arius accused me of deliberately omitted a preceding verse to present my argument as no parable, in which case is baseless. He however DELIBERATELY OMITTED verses as NOT TO EXPOSE MANALO AS A FALSE PROPHET. He just closed his eyes as if these verse IS NOT DIRECTLY RELATED to the verses he quoted. For him as if these verse does not exist.

See how Jesus forewarned us about Manalo,” TAKE HEED THAT NO MAN DECEIVE YOU”. Manalo proclaimed and claim by INC that he is the fulfilment of verse 6 and his church as their church was registered in 1914 at the start of “WAR”.

Jesus warned and told his disciples that one of the signs before his coming is the coming of many FALSE PROPHETS. Arius RIGHTLY pointed out that war broke out in 1914 and is one of the signs of Jesus near coming. With this signs together with what I presented above, we can conclude that Manalo is a False prophet.

Thus the writer of the letter to the Hebrews does not say that our lord Jesus Christ is the last messenger. It is only Mr. Ibe who is declaring such.

Therefore, ANYONE WHO PREACHES or giving ANY MESSAGE CONTRARY to what the Church teaches ,then we CAN BE SURE that person’s message is NOT OF GOD. St. Paul had warned us:

[6] … marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a DIFFERENT GOSPEL, [7] which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to PERVERT the gospel of Christ. [8] But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. [9] As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. …”

We were already warned against those who claimed to be an ” angel” or “apostles” WHO PREACHES PERVERTED GOSPEL. Felix Manalo perfectly fits the bill as he presents himself as AN ANGEL/MESSENGER with a “gospel” contrary to what the Church teaches.

Arius’ RESPONSE:

Galatians 1:6-9 fit to the priest and not to brother Felix Manalo. It is the priests who taught a different gospel. It is the priest who taught a different message or word of God.

My REPLY TO ARIUS:

Christ is worthy of my full trust Him being the head of the Church guides her in her teachings (Col 1:18-19). I trust the Holy Spirit who guides the Church into all truth (John 16:13) I trust the church which built strong as the foundation of the church and Christ as its cornerstone. (Ephesians 2:20) I trust this church as it’s the FOUNDATION AND PILLAR OF TRUTH ( 1Tim 3:15) I trust not MANALO’s opinions, his own church nor his Sanggunian.
