“One of the most compelling bases used by Archbishop Ramon Arguellesty in issuing the much-awaited Decree approving Lipa is the sensus fidei of Christ’s faithful. There has been an overwhelming increase of the devotion to the Mediatrix not only in the Philippines but also abroad, from the ordinary faithful to the leaders of the Church.”11224267_10156061376515191_5832383248745298192_n

“As the local ordinary, Archbishop Ramon Arguelles exercised his office by authority of the Apostolic See. Moreover, the CBCP in its plenary session on January 2013 accepted the Mediatrix of All Grace. Thus, the Decree of Archbishop Arguelles is truly ecclesial: it has the authority from the universal Church and the collegial consent of the episcopacy of the local Church.”

“The CBCP has accepted the Mediatrix of All Grace in its January 2015 plenary session. With this acceptance of his brothers in the episcopacy, it behooved Archbishop Ramon Arguelles, as local ordinary of Lipa, to formally issue the Decree of approval.”

“The Church approval given to Lipa is of a higher status given to Kibeho. In Kibeho, the approval given to the apparitions was only for the first stage. The approval given to Lipa is so extensive so as to include not only the events in 1948 but also its aftermath in recent times, i.e. the dancing sun phenomenon of 1991.”

“In one sense, the approval given to Lipa is larger in scope than that of Fatima. In Fatima, only the Apparitions from May 13 to October 13, 1917 were approved. The approval does not include the subsequent private revelations to Sr. Lucia. But Lipa is a unique case. The approval is not limited to the Apparitions from September 12 to November 12, 1948 but extends to their aftermath even to the most recent events.”

– Atty. Marwil Nacor Llasos, OP shares his analysis of the Decree approving Lipa to the Company of St. Dominic
