When being asked, “Are you born again?” Catholics should humbly respond: “Yes, I am. I was born again the moment I received the sacrament of baptism.”
It is public’s common misunderstanding that being Catholic and being Born Again are two separate and different identities. Yet, they failed to recognize the fact that Catholics are the true Born Again Christians. Why?
The Born Again man-made sects use John 3:3 (KJV) to prove their stand that one must be born again in order to be saved. Fortunately, the Catholic Church has no question on that matter. It is indeed true that in order to be saved, one must be born again. But how? Read John 3:3-5 (KJV):
Oops. That is so clear. In order to be Born Again is not to be a member of a quasi-Christian Born Again man-made sect but to be BORN OF WATER AND OF SPIRIT, that is TO BE BAPTIZED. But why baptism?
In 1 Peter 3:21 (NIV), it reads:
See? It is because, according to Peter, “baptism now saves you.” However, others may still doubtful as to why baptism can save. In Acts 2:41 (NLT), it says:
Literally, baptism saves because those who received it become members of the Church. So?
Well, Acts 20:28 (KJV) states:
What was purchased by the blood of Christ? It was the CHURCH. That is why the Lord prayed that all should be members of the one Church He founded. He said,
See? Just ONE FOLD AND ONE SHEPHERD. And what is that one fold with one shepherd? It is the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church led by the Lord’s appointed shepherd, Peter. In John 21:17 (KJV), Jesus said to Peter the third time:
Thus, being a true born again is not about getting away from the Church but becoming part of her instead.
