Tayoy mag balik tanaw sa mga maling ALAR at contradiction sa PASUGO. Maling aral: 1 to 10

1. Read the Bible or NOT?

Pasugo, October 1995, page 4
The Bible or the word of God is a “mystery which was kept secret.” Thus, it is no ordinary book that could be understood or interpreted by just anybody who can read. This is why the apostle Paul quipped: “Always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (II Tim. 3:7, ibid)

But many people have thought that they could understand the Bible by themselves. Thus, the proliferation of numerous self-proclaimed preachers, all claiming to have understood the Bible and …..

Pasugo, July 1953, page 30
..For goodness sake, why don’t people ever try to read the Holy Bible and verify for themselves instead of just believing and following, undiscerning, every word and whim of their religious leaders…

2. HOW MANY? – Really…

Pasugo, July 1964, page 181
…, the religious meetings were moved out in the open. The first converts, about twelve of them were baptized on a chilly morning, in an early month of 1914, in the river at Sta Ana. A few months later, the Church organizer left the small congregation in the care of Federico Inocencio, …

(INC’s) God’s Message, October/December 1994, page 10
… With 13 converts as its pioneering faithfuls, the Church met all possible hostilities, persecutions, and oppression.

Pasugo, July 1997, page 10 (AG and P) quarters in Punta Sta. Ana, Manila, using the Bible as his primary authority. After several nights of preaching, he was able to convert 14 believers whom he baptized as pioneer members.

3. The Birthday

Pasugo, May/June 1990, page 3
By twisting some facts and misinterpreting our belief, our detractors make it appear that the celebration of out leader’s birthday is a “church tradition” imposed upon the members. The matter having thus obfuscated, they go on to say that “the INC organization compels their members to take part in these traditions.”

Let is be clarified here that no member of the iglesia ni Cristo is ever compelled to remember our leaders, birthday or no birthday, and we don’t need to be compelled to remember them,…

Pasugo, January 1976, page 1
Brother Erdy’s admonitory voice in his shepherding the flock redounds to our edification and salvation. His voice reverberates to all parts of the globe where the Church of Christ has reached. So we cannot dissociate ourselves from the celebration of his birthday because he was created and intended by God for us, for our spiritual welfare and well being.

At this juncture, it is well that we be refreshed with the scriptureal mandate: “Obey your leader and submit to them for they are keeping watch over your souls, as men who will have to give account. Let them do this joyfully, and not sadly, for that would be of no advance to you.” (Hebrews 13:17, RSV)

God wills that we be benefited by the Administration that He has placed in the Church. The only wealth and obsession of our indefatigable Leader is the certainty that we all, and individually, live by the teachings of God. Why? Because by so doing he sees the assurance of our salvation. So we should therefore demonstrate complete submission, obedience and loyalty to the Administration whose primal concern is for us to work out our own salvation. …

Meaning of Compel: To drive or urge with force, or irresistibly; to force; to constrain; to oblige; to necessitate, either by physical or moral force.

Dissociate (meaning): to sever the association of (oneself), to withdraw from association, to undergo dissociation.

4. According to INC, Isaiah 9:6 – Which is Which?

Pasugo, May 1977, page 4
…Then He is to surrender this Kingdom to God. (I Cor.15:24-25) How then could Christ be mistaken for the Omnipotent God? The Mighty God in Isaiah 9:6 is not Christ but Jehovah Himself (Jer 32:18, New World Translation of the Holy Scripturs: American Standard Version)

The fact that Jesus is the Christ proves that He is not God because Christ means Anointed. It was God Who anoint Jesus….

Pasugo, April 1975, page 11

There is another verse which is used as a basis by those who teach that Christ is God. This is Isaiah 9:6. It is written: “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” (ibid) It is allegedly said that the born child Who is Christ will be called Mighty God. It is not the state of being of the child or Christ which will be called Mighty God but the government shall be called the Mighty God.

Why is the government that shall be upon Christ the Mighty God? Because this government is from God…

Pasugo, December 1996, page 3
“The church strictly upholds unity in its doctrines because it is one body (cf Ephesians 4:4). There is no conflict nor disunity in the teachings of the Iglesia Ni Cristo.”

a) Pasugo, May 1977, page 4 – The Mighty God in Isaiah 9:6 is not Christ but Jehovah Himself

.. OR

b) Pasugo, April 1975, page 11 – the government shall be called the Mighty God

(Sa paniniwala ng marami, Yes to both – Christ & God, because Jesus is God)

Sa INC, alin ngayon ang totoo dito sa dalawang Pasugo? the government or Jehovah ?

5. He ascended to Heaven or ?

Pasugo, September 1974, page 5
But Christ died and after His resurrection on the third day He ascended to Heaven. And the Apostles, to whom was entrusted the preaching of the Gospel, also died after some time…

Pasugo, November 1975, page 8
After His resurrection on the third day, Christ did not immediately ascend to heaven. He remained on earth for forty days after His resurrection, before He ascended to heaven. He ascended alone. The Bible says a cloud took him not them out of their sight.

6. To SPREAD or NOT to SPREAD?

Pasugo, January 1970, page 13
What is a flock? The flock is the Church of our Lord. Christ is the Lord (Acts 2:36), and the name of the Church of the Lord is the Church of Christ (Rom. 16:16). Therefore, the Church established by Christ is small or little in number, not spread throughout the world. If the measurement of the Catholic Church would be used, it would appear that the Church established by Christ was not the true Church. Why? Because this was not instituted or spread throughout the world. It is only a “little flock” according to Jesus.

Pasugo, August 1997, page 6
Undoubtedly, the Church of Christ would continue God’s work of salvation to reach out to all nations throughout the world. Thus, we could be certain that aside from the work os Apostle Paul and his companions during their time, God would send another messenger who would preach the Church of Christ or the Iglesia ni Cristo in these last days.

7. WHAT YEAR?

Pasugo, November 1976, page 14
The apointed time for the worm Jacob is at the “end of the earth,” a time in history coinciding with the beginning of the first world war. One of the proofs that Brother Felix Manalo is the fulfillment of the prophesy regarding the worm Jacob is that he began preaching the Church of Christ and registered the same with the government in July 27, 1914.

Pasugo, May 1996, page 3
FELIX YSAGUN MANALO was born in Tipas, Taguig, Rizal on May

10, 1886. Living, he would have turned 110 years old this year.

But, but 33 years ago, on April 12 1963, he was laid to rest from his labors at the age of 77 after administering the Church for almost half a century since late 1913.

Pasugo, July 1997, page 10
…In 1913, convinced that God had “called” him to preach the first-century Chruch of Christ which vanished after the death of the Apostles, he began preaching the Iglesia ni Cristo, stressing it was the same church founded by Christ. He began his ministry in a construction workers’ (AG and P) quarters in Punta Sta. Ana, Manila using the Bible as his primary authority. After several nights of preaching, he was able to convert 14 believers whom he baptized as pioneer members.

Pasugo, May 1998, page 5
Brother Felix Y. Manalo began preaching way back in 1914. He was instrumental as God’s messenger in the emergence of the Iglesia ni Cristo in the Philippines which was registered in that same year. He therefore, is the fulfillment of the prophecy regarding the third angel, and the Iglesia ni Cristo, without any doubt.

==== Sila na din ang humatol sa kanila ====

Pasugo, March/April 1993, page 7
“The true Church or religion must be proven by biblical prophecies. But false teachers and false religions can easily point to numerous biblical prophecies and claim that these have been fulfilled in their persons or churches.”

8. Alin nga ba ang totoo; 1913 or 1914?

Pasugo, November 1976, page 14 – he began preaching the Church of Christ .. – in July 27, 1914.

Pasugo, May 1996, page 3 – administering the Church for almost half a century since late 1913. (administering = To have charge of; manage.

Pasugo, July 1997, page 10 – he began preaching the Iglesia ni Cristo, – In 1913Pasugo, May 1998, page 5 – fulfillment of the prophecy regarding the third angel – began preaching way back in 1914

Eh ano naman kung 1914 ang pagkarehistro? Diyos ba ang gobyerno? Isa pa, INK ang rehistro noon as “corporation sole”.

Pasugo, November 1976, page 14 -he began preaching the Church of Christ – 1914 (BEGUN PREACHING.)

administering the Church – 1913 – (hindi pa tinawag ng Diyos si Felix Manalo dito? Next year pa?)

he began preaching the Iglesia ni Cristo – In 1913 (sinungaling ito (1913) o yung 1914 ang sinungaling?)

Pasugo, May 1998, page 5 – “began preaching way back in 1914

9. Understanding of Romans 7:12 – To do or can’t do?

Pasugo, July 1976, page 13
In what aspect is man weak? Man is weak in the observance of good. Although man has the will to do good, he cannot do it (Rom. 7:8). What is the good that cannot be done by man? The law of God is the good that cannot be done by man (Rom. 7:12). The proof is indeed weak in the observance of the law, all men have sinned, as itis stated in Rom. 5:12: “Therefore as sin came into the world through one man and death through sin, and so death spread to all men BECAUSE ALL MEN SINNED-”

Pasugo, March 1996, page 3
…In the first place, what is it that is good? The bible says: “Therefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good.”(Rom 7:12, Ibid.)

What is good, therefore, is God’s law– His will as written in the scriptures. This is the good that “man needs to do” in order for thim to enter the kingdom of God (Mt. 7:21)…

Pasugo, October 1998, page 8
…no preacher would ever admit to being false. Everyone, of course, would claim that he teaches the truth. In our times, we witness the burgeoning of preachers or evangelists professing that they are of God despite their diverse and conflicting religious views and precepts. Whether of not they are aware of it, these false preachers have to face the fact that they have no divine authority to preach the true gospel.

10. FAKE churches

PASUGO (May 1968, p. 7)
“Ang tunay na INK ay iisa lamang. Ito ang Iglesiyang itinayo ni Cristo. Kung mayroon mang nagsisibangon ngayong mga Iglesia at sasabihing sila man ay Iglesia ni Cristo rin, ang mga ito ay hindi tunay na Iglesia ni Cristo kundi huwad lamang.” [There is only one true Church of Christ. This is the Church Christ founded. If there are emerging churches now which are claiming to be Churches of Christ (Iglesia ni Cristo), they are not real churches but fakes].

Matthew 28:20
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Did Christ abandoned His church and then build another one in 1914? Did Jesus as a Head without a body for almost 2000 years?

Well, INC (of Manalo) said in PASUGO (May 1968, p. 7), If there are emerging churches now which are claiming to be Churches of Christ (Iglesia ni Cristo), they are not real churches but fakes.
