MY MESSAGE TO CFD MANILA
I am happy to know that the CFD apostolate is now flourishing in this capital city of our country. In the past, the CFD organization has largely been confined to the Visayas and Mindanao. However, recently CFD chapters has been established in Luzon and these chapters are largely composed of young members. Thanks to efforts of Reverend Father Abraham Aganiosa and Atty Marwill Llasos who through their commitment in defending the faith in the social communications media such as the internet, radio and television has not failed to inspire young people to join in the task of explaining and defending the faith from her enemies. It is due to such unquestionable dedication in advancing the cause of the CFD organization that I as the National President has granted these two gentlemen the delegation to formally establish CFD chapters in Luzon following the directives and guidelines of the constitution and by-laws of the organization and the BOG policies especially those concerning the establishment of new parochial and diocesan chapters.
However, it has come to my knowledge that a group lead by Mr. Robertson Poblete wanted to be affiliated as chapter of the CFD organization without the approval and endorsement of Father Abraham Arganiosa and/or Atty Marwill Llasos. The petition of this group will never prosper and the CFD governance shall never recognize them as representing a legitimate chapter within the CFD organization much less as members of the organization. If we have to start a new CFD chapter then we should do it right by maintaining unity with the National Office through its duly delegated representative/s.
I therefore would like to enjoin all who wanted to be counted as among the CFD members to withdraw their support to group headed by Mr. Poblete. I also put Atty Marwill Llasos in full charge of calling and presiding a new election for a parochial chapter within the Archdiocese of Manila. Based on our BOG policy it will require at least three (3) parochial chapters in a diocese to be able to form a diocesan chapter of the organization. Until such a time Atty Marwill Llasos or such other person as maybe authorized by the national office shall remain the duly delegated representative which has authority from us to organize and establish other parochial chapters and to preside in diocesan assemblies wherein the election of the diocesan board of stewards will be made.
This guidelines shall be followed until such a time that the Board of Governors shall promulgate its collective resolution and decision.
