REACTION OF A BURN AGAIN TO SPLENDOR1618’s COMMENT ABOUT LARA QUIGAMAN

Three days ago,I chanced upon a comment posted by a guy in her timeline defending Lara Quigaman and attacking the Splendor’s comment. These are the poor guy’s comment;

1) It’s not an example of mercy and compassion and your pope will not be proud of it.

2) It is pure garbage and the logic is comical.

3) Lara’s post is not disrespectful nor hateful.

4) Even the Pope said he should not be the focus but Jesus so why all the hate?

5) Religion cannot save us.

6) Your novenas and feeding of thousand kids cannot save us, only faith can save us.

7) We have to be living by examples of love and respect.

8) Wala pang one week, away na.

9) Walang reasoning,shallow and narrow-minded.

Here are my answers:

1) You and Lara’s reaction is an example of no mercy and no compassion and I’m sure your pastors will be proud of it. As the Pope says, “I was moved by their gestures, they were genuine gestures that came from the heart” -Pope Francis. Mercy and compassion came from the heart and the Pope sees the heart of the million crowds that attended the Mass.The Pope is all praise to the Filipinos including you!

3) Maybe explicitly but it is implicitly obvious and that shows your hypocrisy.

4) Jesus is our focus since time immemorial,you will never know Jesus if not for the Catholic Church,your hate lies within yourself coming from your insecurities.

5) Those who believe in this phrase “religion can not save you”, really do not understand and have never gone deeper with the real meaning of “RELIGION”. Religion from the latin word religare…means to bind back. In the new covenant after Abraham, Moses and the rest of the chosen ones…, it was “CHRIST” who binds us back to God, that is why it is called “CHRISTIAN RELIGION”. The kind of relationship that we have which is binding us back to God is “Christianity”…No kind of relationship with God, no religion? How can anyone be saved? It is binding back or re-ligare…because there was a broken relationship between God & man, due to the first parents of the human race—Adam and Eve.

6) Sola Fide (and Sola Scriptura) is unbiblical, it was already explained a hundred times and you have been ignoring it a hundred times. Let me remind you again, James 2:18 So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless. Jesus Christ talked about caring for the sick,feeding the hungry, giving water to the thirsty,clothing the naked,helping the needy and being judged according to their deeds. Work is the outward manifestation of faith. God allowed us to perform good work for Him (Phil.2;12, Prov.19;17) so that our faith might be perfected. Please refer also to some verses that explain good deeds to attain salvation, Matt. 16;27, Matt.25;34-40, Rom. 2;6 and Phil.2;12.

7) Look who’s talking? your burn again people make tirades in front of our church, in our proccession, (remember the Nazarene proccession in Manila?) in public jeepneys and buses, in your rock n roll fellowships with your pastors leading the anti-Catholic rhetorics! In contrast, our priests never say anything against other religions,instead, their homilies always tell us to pray for you!

9) Every line is refuted logically by Splendor, your comments are in a manner protective of your sect, kaya pala meron kaming doctors of the church, theologians, bible scholars, philosophers and thousands of intellectuals like Thomas Aquinas, St.Bonaventure, Albertus Magnus, Duns Scotus and Francis Bacon, Francis Xavier, Francis of Assisi, Ignatius of Loyola, not to mention early Church Fathers na nagpapaliwanag ng mga doktrina, kumpara sa mga burn again na ang doktrina ay galit at kahambugan. Your comments from 1-9 are pure garbage and the logic is comical as I borrowed your words. My final word for those anti-Catholics who relied on lies; Lying lips are an ABOMINATION to the LORD, but those who are truthful are his delight. —- Proverbs 12:22
