Is the Rosary an idol? No, because the rosary is a form of prayer wherein the person who prays it ponders and reflects upon the mysteries of the life of Jesus and Mary as written in the Scriptures which are real events that has real existence…
Does Catholics worship the Pope? No, they don’t worship the Pope but rather as Saint Paul said ‘respect to those you owe respect, and honour to those you owe honor.’ (Romans 13:7, CSB) and in the Letter to the Hebrews it is written ‘Remember your leaders , those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.’ (Hebrews 13:7, ESV)
Of course the Catholics do not really worship them, that accusation that Catholics worship them is a black propaganda of those who tell lies against Catholics without even hearing from their side…..
It is true God is spirit but it is also written that ‘Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature.’ (Colossians 1:15), and whoever has seen him has seen the Father ‘he that hath seen me hath seen the Father.’ (John 14:9, KJV), and that he was seen by the apostles

as what is written that ‘an IDOL has NO REAL EXISTENCE’ (1 Corinthians 8:4, RSV),Mary, the saints are real existing beings, they have their real existence wherein their Biography was written in history…..what Exodus 20:4-6 are false gods which does not exist, like Dagon, Baal, Astarte which does not exist in reality but are written myths which are inventions of man’s imagination……….that is why idols does not apply to the believe on Mary and the Saints….
The early christians does not worship false gods or idols with no real existence in the first century but rather they have representations of Christ in their worship places, Paul’s letter to the Galatians speak thus ‘Oh foolish Galatians! What magician has hypnotized you and cast an evil spell upon you? For you used to see the meaning of Jesus Christ’s death as clearly AS THOUGH I HAD WAVED A PLACARD BEFORE YOU WITH A PICTURE OF CHRIST DYING ON THE CROSS.’ (Galatians 3:1, The Living Bible)
