DOMINO EFFECTS OF THE ALLEGED GREAT APOSTASY
The Great Apostasy of the Church will debunk Jesus’ claim of being the TRUTH (John 14:6). If Jesus is the Truth, then He is who He says He is and we can take His word that the fires of hell shall not prevail against His Church (Mat. 16:18). Also, it would imply that Jesus is powerless in protecting His Church from error, though He said, “I will be with you always to the end of the age” (Mat. 28:20).
Also, it would imply that God didn’t fulfill His promises to David in the Old Testament that the Kingdom of his Descendant, namely, Jesus will see no end (2 Samuel 7:16, 1 Chronicles 17:14), and that He didn’t raise the tabernacle of David that was thrown down since the time of the Babylonian exile (Amos 9:11). It would make the writings of the prophets meaningless and deluded messengers of a lie.
The Apostasy of the Church will make both the Father and the Son liars and therefore not qualified to be, “Truth” (John 14:6) and, “The Only True God” (John 17:3, 1 John 5:20). It would also defeat the proposition that the Bible is the reliable and inerrant word of God.
This idea of the Great Apostasy is somehow deistic in a sense that God just establishes the Church and then leaves the Church to apostasy and error. If this is the God that these proponents believe, then I reject this God. This is not the God of the Bible that I knew, this God emerging from their bellies to gain profits from their members (Philippians 3:19).
I would like to quote the Apostle Paul who warns us Christians 2000 years ago of these people teaching the Great Apostasy:
2 Corinthians 2:17, For we are not like many WHO MAKE TRADE OF THE WORD OF GOD; but as out of sincerity, indeed as from God and in the presence of God, we speak in Christ
Galatians 1:8-9, But even if WE (the Apostles) or an ANGEL FROM HEAVEN should preach to you another gospel different from the one you received, let him be anathema. I say it before and now I say it again: If any man should preach to you a gospel different from the one you received, let him be anathema
2 Corinthians 11:13-15, For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers masquerading themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan can manifest himself as an angel of light. So its no wonder if his MINISTERS would masquerade themselves as MINISTERS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS. Their end will correspond to their deeds
