(Last September 8, 2014, the It’s Showtime of ABS-CBN posted their video wherein Jhong Hilario led everybody to pray for the Blessed Mother’s Intercession, wore a shirt with Mama Mary’s Image and led a nearly 3 minutes of prayer offered to God through Mama Mary’s Intercession. Unfortunately, Born Agains started bashing it and I happened to see their illogical comments against Jhong and his intercessory prayer to the Blessed Mother).

Why are people making such a big fuss about them praying to Mary and not Jesus? The real issue here is that they shouldn’t have done any prayers to WHOMEVER because of what happened to Billy lol. First of all there is NO DOCTRINE inside the Catholic Church that says Mary is God. We NEVER treat Mary as God or Goddess. Second, what’s wrong in asking Mary’s intercession? You must read the whole chapter of JOHN 2. Third, there is only ONE Mediator with the Father Who is Jesus Christ. This is a Catholic Doctrine already. Mary is the Mediatrix or Intercessor to Jesus Chirst NOT with the Father. What is the difference of asking the prayer of your pastors, ministers, a relative or a friend from asking Mary’s prayer?

Does Mary, Mother of the Lord, competes with Her Son Jesus Christ the Lord?
Don’t you guys forget that there are two kinds of people on this earth: 1st one is the one who comes from the lineage of Mary, from Whom, the Father puts an authority over satan. And the 2nd would be satan, who will battle against Mary. [Genesis 3:15] [Revelation 12] So, from whose lineage are you from? [Luke 1:28 – The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”]
If the Lord is with Mary and He’s not with satan, those who don’t consider Mary as their Mother is not only an orphan but also denies the existence of God in them. God bless you all!

As a Christian we are mandated by God to share the truth but in a reapectful way like a true follower of Jesus. With all due respect , I was a devoted Catholic myself before and if you are talking about doctrines I know all of it but it is limited to what my parents taught me or what tradition has set. Hello Christopher, if you’re a Roman Catholic before and you said you studied Catholic Doctrines and KNOW ALL OF IT, I doubt that bro, because if you truly studied EVERYTHING about Roman Catholic Faith, you would know that everything you said is nothing but a creation of your Religion-Less mind. How bout you are open to study the bible , yung hindi Catholic Doctrine? You mentioned assumption, yes I know that and I know the history of that as well.There is no biblical reference to the assumption of Maryalam mo ba yun?. The Gospel of John was written around 90 A.D., which is more than 100 years after Mary was born. (Surely Mary was more than ten years old when Jesus was conceived.) If Mary had been supernaturally assumed into Heaven, wouldn’t John (the disciple that Mary lived with) have mentioned it? When Enoch and Elijah were taken up to Heaven, the Bible recorded it. With Elijah it was recorded in some detail. (See Genesis 6:24 and 2 Kings 2:1 18.) But inadd lang siya sa doctrine nio even if wla sa scripture. Why? ask your church leaders. Unable to mention Mary’s Assumption into Heaven in the Bible is simple. Read this: John 21:25. May I remind you that not everything is written in the Bible and not because they are not written in the Bible it would mean that they are not true. If you truly know what happened to Blessed Virgin Mary, you would know that you’re simply relying your faith on what you read and not on what you ‘should’ believe. You’re obviously practicing a famous principle of Protestantism: SOLA SCRIPTURA. Failing to add up the next two: Faith and Grace, you cannot be called fully devout Christian because you’re contradicting Jesus’ teachings and beliefs. All you’re saying are totally contradicting to Matthew 16:18-20. Remember to whom Jesus left His power here on Earth and remember who is OUR FIRST POPE. Whatever Christ’s Successor’s has to say, they are infallibility because He, Himself said that, “19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be[c] bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be[d] loosed in heaven.” I repeat, “WHATEVER YOU BIND ON EARTH WILL BE BOUND IN HEAVEN, AND WHATEVER YOU LOOSE ON EARTH WILL BE LOOSED IN HEAVEN.”
Therefore, St. Peter had ALL THE AUTHORITIES on Earth and everything he does or does not allow shall have merits in Heaven like what Jesus Christ just said. May I ask who are St. Peter’s successors of the Church? To whom did he leave the task to oversee the Church that was PERSONALLY FOUNDED by Jesus Christ? To the Roman Catholic Church, no other than. If she did not gain the Original Sin, it is BY FACT, that she would not die, as what the original sin carries. So, if she did not die, and her body was gone missing, where did she go then? Have you heard how the Apostles brokedown upon seeing Mary’s bed emptied of her body but filled with roses? Did the Bible say she died? Bible Scholars’ studied it and the study shows that the minutes of the Ecumenical Council of Ephesus in 431 C.E. indicate that four or six years after the death and resurrection of Jesus, John and the Virgin Mary came together to Ephesus, and for a short time stayed in the building, a section of which is now under Church of the Virgin Mary today. Later John moved the Virgin Mary to a house he had prepared for her on Bulbul Dagi (Bulbul Hill). She lived there until the end of her earthly life. (end of her earthly life, they did not say SHE DIED, God could’ve sent her to sleep, who knows? The documents say that her earthly life has come to an end) The Apostles witnessed it, but that her tomb, when opened, upon the request of St. Thomas, was found empty; wherefrom the Apostles concluded that the body was taken up to heaven.
I hope these well-known facts would help you achieve the enlightenment that you needed that somehow got lost in your journey thru knowing what you “thought” was true. Again, all the authorities are given to the Roman Catholic Church by Jesus Himself not to anybody who assumed they know all the teachings, doctrines, dogmas and even the scriptures.

INHERITING THE ORIGINAL SIN DEPRIVES US FROM THE “SANCTIFYING GRACE” WHICH STAIN IS A CORRUPT NATURE.
MARY WAS PRESERVED FROM THESE DEFECTS BY GOD’S GRACE, THAT IS WHY SHE IS CALLED “HAIL MARY, FULL OF GRACE!” FROM THE FIRST INSTANT OF HER EXISTENCE SHE WAS IN THE “STATE OF SANCTIFYING GRACE” AND WAS FREE FROM THE CORRUPT NATURE WHICH ORIGINAL SIN CARRIES. SHE SAYS:Luke 1:47 and my spirit has begun to rejoice in God my Savior. YOU WOULD ARGUE THAT MARY IS A SINNER BECAUSE SHE CALLED JESUS (HER SON) AS HER SAVIOR. BUT IT IS NOT SO. LIKE ALL DESCENDANTS OF ADAM, SHE WAS SUBJECT TO INHERIT THE ORIGINAL SIN. BUT BY SPECIAL INTERVENTION OF GOD, UNDERTAKEN AT THE INSTANT SHE WAS CONCEIVED, SHE WAS PRESERVED FROM THE STAIN OF THE ORIGINAL SIN AND ITS CONSEQUENCES. SHE WAS, THEREFORE, REDEEMED BY THE GRACE OF CHRIST BUT IN SPECIAL WAY – ANTICIPATION. BECAUSE IF SHE OBTAINS THE ORIGINAL SIN, REMEMBER, JESUS WILL TURN OUT TO BE ALSO A SINNER.Some argue that this indicates that Mary was sinner, since only sinners needs a saviour. FOR EXAMPLE, A MAN FALLS INTO A DEEP HOLE AND SOMEONE REACHES DOWN TO PULL HIM OUT. THE MAN HAS BEEN SAVED FROM THE HOLE. NOW IMAGINE A WOMAN WALKING AND WAS ABOUT TO STUMBLE TO THAT HOLE, BUT THE VERY MOMENT THAT SHE’S GOING TO FALL, SOMEONE HOLDS HER BACK AND PREVENTS HER FROM FALLING. SHE TOO WAS SAVED FROM THE HOLE, BUT IN AN EVEN BETTER WAY; SHE WAS NOT SIMPLY TAKEN OUT OF THE HOLE; SHE WAS “SPARED” FROM GETTING STRAINED BY THE MUD IN THE FIRST PLACE.
THIS IS THE SAME WITH MARY. JESUS (OUR SAVIOR) SAVED HER TOO BUT IN A VERY SPECIAL WAY. GOD THE FATHER CHOSE HER TO CARRY HIS SON, THEREFORE, HE PRESERVED HER FROM GETTING THE ORIGINAL SIN. SHE HAS MORE REASON TO CALL GOD HER SAVIOR THAN WE DO, BECAUSE GOD SAVED HER IN AN EVEN MORE GLORIOUS MANNER.
THE POPE WAS NOT PRESSURE TO DECLARE MARY’S ASSUMPTION. THIS ONLY MEANS THAT OUR CHURCH LEADERS TAKE ALL THE TIME THEY NEED TO STUDY, INVESTIGATE AND DISCERN WHETHER THEIR DECLARATIONS AND DECISIONS ARE ACCORDING TO WHAT WAS WRITTEN IN THE HISTORY, WHAT WAS SAID BY THE ANCIENT PEOPLE, WHAT WILL BE THE WILL OF THE LORD AND NOT SIMPLY ANNOUNCE ANYTHING THEY DID NOT STUDY AND MISLEAD EVERYBODY.
